Christmas really started in style for Mark and I as we began
a 14 day road trip to the New South Wales coast though the Victoria Alps. As part of the trip preparation the car went
into the garage to have items such as a car a radio, a roof rack, fridge and
spare battery attached. This is just to name a few items. And mum no we didn’t
take the kitchen sink (J
). We needed these items because some of the camping areas we went to were very
remote. This included half a tank of diesel and a second spare wheel on the
roof rack. It may have also had
something to do with the fact that Mark would not have considered doing the
trip without all the items mentioned. His short time in the boy scouts appears
to have paid off, on the ‘be prepared ‘front. I can say that it all came in handy in our
great adventure.
After packing the car on Wednesday night, Mark picked me up
from work on 20th December 2012 and we drove the 6 hours to Ballarat
(Victoria). We spent the night at
Oscar’s Hotel. After a fantastic meal, we explored Ballarat. On our
walk we found a lost item of Santa’s.
After a very relaxing evening and an amazing breakfast in Bibo
Bistro, the road trip continued to Geelong to visit my Friday Fi began.
Building in Ballarat
Fi and her sister Katherine showed us a great time in
Geelong. Which was rounded off with yet another amazing meal at The Heads restaurant.
Who’s desert portions were eye opening.

Following a lovely stay at Fi's and stocking up on water and food. We started our trip to Bendigo. That was after we dried off the inside of the car. When I filled the water contianers in the car, and forgot to check the seals of the water containers.
