We spend early January just relaxing as a family and celebrating my birthday.

In mid January my birthday present was a trip to Coffs Habour in NSW to visit my sister Lucy, who was fruit picking in Coffs.

Later in January we celebrated Felicity's 2nd birthday and instead of a party with spent the day on the steam Train in Victor Habor.

Felicity got a chair like Daddy from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.

And during a trip to Ikea on our way to pick up my sister, Felicity picked out another birthday present who now sits on the end of her bed.

At the end of January Mark and I were lucky enough to get a night off of being parents and attended our friends 40th birthday party, with a 70s theme.

and Felicity wanted to join in with me.

In February and March we were joined by Lucy and we had great fun making memories together.
It started with being allowed to go out at night to see a Titan Arum. Not sure I was too impressed by the option of our first date in a while, but Mark was so pleased to see it and he did make it up to me later in the month by taking me to the Fringe Festival.

We enjoyed a number of trips to winaries, walks in the bush and trips to the beach including painting and cooking cakes with Aunty Lucy which i think Felicity liked the most.

The masterpiece is now up in the kitchen.

We were also lucky enough to celebrate Lucy's birthday with her in March and Felicity had great fun supervising Lucy making her fantastic birthday cake.

In early March Mark was given a fantastic opportunity to visit parliament during Parliament dose Science. I was so proud of him.

The time had come in late February early March for Felicity to move from her cot to her bed. This took place because after an afternoon nap one day I walked into her bedroom to find her sitting on top of her changing table. She had finally learnt to climb out of her cot. So one weekend Daddy gets out the screw driver and transforms Felicity's cot. Of course Felicity had to help.

In late March we said our goodbyes to Lucy who would be heading on her way around Easter and we went to Perth for Easter. We had a great trip. We stayed in Fremantle and then went down to the Margaret river.

One of the days we spend on Rottnest Island looking for Quokkas, which Felicity loved. It was such a busy day that she fell asleep on daddy during the boat ride home.

The day was rounded off with a meal at a fantastic Italian restaurant that Mark had found during a work trip.

During our stay in Perth I think apart from the Quokkas we found on Rottnest Island Felicity's highlight was the fish tank we introduced her too.

We spend a very relaxed Easter weekend down the margaret river. During our weekend we enjoy trips to lighthouses, beaches and old houses and chocolate factories. We think Felicity's favour part was the lighthouses, as we went to see one and the gates were already closed, but Felicity watched has people came out and within seconds she had worked out how to open the gate. Mark and I turned our back for two seconds to look at the view and before we knew it she was inside the gates of the lighthouse and was making her way to the lighthouse. The guide had to walk her back to the gate, she was not happy.

A walk in a cave.

Following a fantastic holiday in WA we head home to prepare ourselves for a visit from Mark's parents. Watch this space for an update on what we get up to whilst Mark's parents are here.
