At 6 weeks old Felicity learnt how to turn onto her side. I left her on her back when I went to get the washing and came back to find her in this position.

Since I last wrote our blog we have been keeping ourselves busy with introducing Felicity to Adelaide and the concept of walking. Most weekends now we go for a walk on a Saturday morning. Last weekend we took her to Belair National Park where she was introduced to her first experience of rain. Though I don't think she was to bothered as she slept on Mark's front for the whole walk and was unaware of the fact that Mum and Dad looked like drawn rats.

Our Saturday walks are to help me get back into shape and Mark has set me a goal of walking a 10km (6miles) by the time we come to the UK, so that I will be able to walk his beloved Lake District walks.
This Saturday we were over the moon to be join by Kate, our friend that Mark met on single track and they became riding buddies when Kate was in Australia last year. Kate has come back for a visit and it is great to see her. As Kate was with us and she loves chocolate there was only one place we could really go and that was Striling for a 4km walk and to show Kate the new chocolate cafe that had opened in December 2013.

As a result of Mark's walking challenge I am getting out most days for a walk. Yesterday the walk involved breakfast and we walked 2 km to a local cafe. Sunday morning breakfast at one of the many cafes in walking distance appears to be coming our new Friday night out. I can't complain, we have had some great breakfasts and if your up by 8am on Sunday morning what else are you might to do?
On the way to breakfast

Last Sunday we took part in march in March and introduced Felicity to politics early. The protest marches were set up across Australia to demonstrate the Australian publics disgust of the current government and its policies. Policies such as dumping rubbish by the great barrier reef, cutting down the forests in Tasmania, sending the boat people to PG, cutting money to education etc etc. We decided to go because we are unable to vote until we become citizens. Which we hope will be at the end of the year, fingers crossed. Getting back to the march, we are not sure what impact these marches have had, but they have resulted in thousands of people getting out on the streets of Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide to name a few. However this didn't mean it had great media coverage. The government are trying to pretend that it didn't happen I think.

Since my last blog Felicity has visited my guide unit and learn some basic guide knots. Was great to see the unit again and meet the new girls that started this year. I look forward to returning some time this year and getting Felicity involved.

At six weeks I enjoyed my first night out at a works reward dinner. I had a lovely time at the new Adelaide Oval and Mark dealt with his first bedtime on his own. He did a fantastic job and Felicity was fast asleep when I got in.

And finally it goes without saying that we have enjoyed some hugs along the way
