Day 2 of our Honey moon

On arrival at Cradle Mountain Mark and I agreed it was day two of our honey moon. So have a relaxed evening in our log cabin. Our honey moon stated with a big breakfast with some amazing muesli. With our picnic of cheese, crackers and red wine in hand. We handed out on our 26km walk along the Cradle Mountain board walk and around Dove lake.

Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake

On arrival to Dove Lake, after 2 hours of walking we found a great view point on a rock and eat our pack lunch. After a well-earned break on we went to complete the walk. After walking about half an hour and loosing Mark to the camera I came very close to a tiger snake which was looking for a sunny patch on the board walk. Too close for comfort though. Right near my ankle. After make eye contact with the snake and taking 3 steps back the snake made the right discussion and turn back under the board walk.

After a further 4 hours of walking we arrived back at the log cabin unable to walk or move very fast, but nothing a spa bath and a glass of wine couldn't solve. In the evening we headed to the Cradle Mountain Tasmania Devils centre, before having an amazing meal in the Cradle Mountain Lodge Restaurant.
