The last few weekends have been quite quiet because we have both been very busy with work during the week. Mark is kept busy with different experiments to complete and papers to write. I on the other hand have been kept busy with seeing RSB clients, running a microwave cooking class, planning my next trip to the Yorke Peninsula, neuro vision loss clients, manual handling training for the trainer and assisting in a Braille project.
Most Saturdays Mark has been out on his bike, which has given me a chance to get on top of the gardening in time for summer. It’s a slow process but I think I am getting there. One more weekend and I think I will be finished. I think though we need some garden furniture for this Christmas.
Over the last few weeks we have been to the beach with friends, I have been climbing with work colleague; we have enjoyed a few dinners out, we have been to see the films ‘Orange and Sunshine (it was about the children that were brought over to Australia by the UK government in secret) and ‘Senna’, we have also walked Mount Lofty and been for a bike ride around Adelaide which included a number of good pubs.
Walk at Fox Creek.

Guide’s continues to go well, last week we had a meeting on leadership skills and over the next few weeks I have to arrange a surprise for the girls. We also have a day camp and weekend camp coming up, though unfortunately we lose one of our leaders at the end of this term, as Dayan is returning to New South Wales.
We have begun planning our next trip home in July 2012. We have reached a small hurdle though at the moment, as my passport will have fewer 6 months on it come next August. This will mean that Australia would not let me leave the country because I would be unable to return. As a result I have had to look into renewing my passport. Thinking it would be easy I thought nothing of it, but however to renew my passport because I was born after 1st January 1983 I have to provide my mother’s birth certificate. So we are currently waiting for them to arrive from the UK. Once I have renewed by passport we will be able to book our flights home. At the moment though, we do know that we will be in Guernsey from 26th to 29th July 2012. As soon as I know more I will of course let you all know. So meeting up can be arranged.
yey! Can't wait to see you both in Guernsey!! :)
