As many of you already know before we travelled to the UK in July 2016 we were asked to leave our rental property. On our our return to Adelaide we moved into an Air BnB house for a few weeks, whilst we searched for a new rental property. Our first week was spent getting over jet lack, welcoming Lucy (my sister) to our Air BnB for a week and fair welling Mark who had a conference in New Zealand.

Art class with Aunty Lucy

After a couple of stressful weeks we found a new rental and moved in the week before Christmas. A big thank you goes out to everyone that helped us move. A special thank you to the children that helped entertain Felicity.

The week before Christmas was a busy one for us, as you can image. Christmas Day was used as our goal and with only Marks office to sort out by Christmas day we were able to relax and enjoy our house with some good friends. That as a result of the move have been come neighbours.

Felicity also enjoyed her end of year BBQ at child care. This is her enjoying the local comedy drumming monkeys.

Ready for Christmas

Christmas started with the crib service on Christmas Eve (Morgan tradition).

Followed by a quick pint (Farrell tradition).

Mark christened the oven with a Christmas Turkey. Even though it got to 42c outside.

With the house sorted and the Christmas break we were able to enjoy Adelaide.

With people to thank after the support they gave us with the move and 2 birthdays coming up in January we held our house warming party.
Party preparations

For my birthday we tried out a new pub and watched the sunset over Adelaide.

After my birthday of course it's Felicity and she had a lovely day on the beach. One of her favourite place. She also had great fun with her birthday presents.

In April we travelled to Canberra for Dayna and Mark's wedding. During this visit we met friends of Mark's and found 5 platypuses.

In May Lucy came to stay for a while before flying home. Felicity had great fun and Mark and I truely enjoyed having our housemate.

Before Aunty Lucy flights home. She reads Felicity that she wrote her.

Aunty Lucy left Adelaide on our wedding anniversary. To celebrate and to take my mind off the fact Lucy was leaving we head to Henley Beach for a Tia tea. Followed by a windy walk by the sea.

Mark and Felicity have been getting into gardening this year. We have just planted some sunflowers. Photos will follow. Mark is beginning his natural Australian garden. Or Friends as Felicity reference to them as.

Felicity has taken up yoga in children care.

In June I finally managed to see Les Miserables on stage thank you to my friend Judy who I run the guide unit with. I studied Les Miserables during my GCSE Music. Also in June thanks to Guides I attended my first Adelaide zoo snooze and Felicity and I saw Frozen on Ice.

Also in June Mark celebrated Father's Day as he would be in London during Australia's Fathers day. We head to Monarto Zoo.

In mid June we attended the bonfire and fireworks at Maylor Primary school for the winter solstice. This year we were happy to introduce Felicity little Mother group friend Daisy and her dad to the bonfire and fireworks.

In July I got the chance to watch the Adelaide Rolla Derby, which was fantastic fun. Mark got into some bike maintenance and Felicity enjoyed playing at home, visited Victor Habor, prepared for our snow holiday in August and visited the dentist. Felicity took her first seat on the dentist chair by herself.

That brings you all most up to date and a huge thank you to Ian and Lucy who have both visited us this year. Your visits meant so much to us. My next blog will look at our trip to Victoria in August and round up what we have been up to in September and October. I now just have to wait for the photos to be uploaded to the computer. I hope you have enjoyed looking at our year since Mark's sabbatical.
I hope I am able to update this again before November.
