I have to apologise again for the gap in blogs. This time it was because I was struggling to
upload photos and also because I have now return to work 3 days a week. As a
result the weeks fly by before I get a chance.
Well what have we been up to since early November 2014 I
hear you say. It was the usual December activities, of getting ready for
Christmas, which was extra surprise this year as it was Felicity’s first
Christmas. Mark was away for some of December in Europe for work and had a
weekend with his family. We sent Christmas day on the beach and dinner with
friends.

On Marks return we got into the Christmas spirit and visited
the toy factory with Georgia and Jason, picked up the Christmas tree and
collected our cherries. Felicity went crazy when we brought the tree inside. As
her tree fascination with trees continues. It was her play mate for the whole
of Christmas.

Kisses for mum

Christmas day on the beach with Felicity Christmas present,
mummy even brought Daddy a set so he would steal mine.

The Christmas week was spent mainly walking and enjoying the
coolest Christmas we’ve had down under.

For my birthday this year we went to Melbourne for the
weekend to celebrate my friend’s wedding. It was the best birthday present ever
to spend the day with friends from the UK and the bride was stunning. Congratulations
again Emma and Peter.

Felicity decided that what was going on up front was not
interesting so she read a book instead.

On the way home we stop off at Halls Gap and took a walk,
after knocking down a kangaroo. Don’t worry we and the car were all fine. I’m
sorry to say the Roo came off worse. We had to call the ranger to come and put
it down. As it broken it’s legs and tail.
Mark handle the situation fantastically but it has brought home once
again how dangerous Aussie roads can be and this was at lunch time and not at
dusk when Kangaroos are at their most active.

Later in the month I was given 24 hours off and Mark looked
after Felicity as I visited my friend Chris down south. Mark took Felicity to a
petting zoo and she loved it.

On Australia Day 26th January 2015, Mark and I
became Australian citizens. It was quiet an emotional day for me as I didn’t
think I would get this far and to finally have the same citizenship as Felicity
made my year. At the moment though as a result of this we can’t leave Australia
until we have got Australian passports as our via has been stopped. We hope
this wouldn’t take too long.

And some of my guides came to support us.

On 28th January we celebrated Felicity’s
birthday, and here are some picture of her opening her presents from mum and
dad.

That weekend we had a big party to celebrate the
citienzship, felicity’s birthday and the end of my maternity leave. Felicity had her first piece of cake.

We are now getting back into life with both of us working.
Felicity is really enjoying Nursery and the staff seem to love her. This week
she is beginning to pull herself up on furniture and has learnt how to build a
tower with 3 bricks. We are now preparing for our first girls times since my
return to work, as Mark is going to be away for a week and a half.
