Back down under - July

July has flown by. After our trip home Mark went straight back to work and has jumped into the deep end with the amount of work he now has to do. Though from the daily reports all is going well and he is now up to 26 papers. He also has another postdoc starting in August.

Felicity and I on the other hand took the first week of July very easy. Going out most mornings for a walk and chilling at home in the afternoon. It did take Felicity's body clock a little bit of time to adjust.

On the first weekend back in Adelaide we headed over to see Georgia and Jason. The children were very excited to see Felicity.

IMG_1409

During this visit Felicity was also given the family highchair. A big thank you to Georgia and Jason. this picture is of Felcity's first time in a highchair. Though she appears more interested in Juliet.

IMG_1412

As this was also the weekend that we started to introduce Felicity to food, this is a picture of her first meal time with the Koerber family. I think she has the idea all ready.

IMG_1413

Now that Felicity has neck control we can try out the Jolly jumper with have borrowed. I think she likes it. Her favourite think is being able to see herself in the wardrobe mirror whilst she bounces around.

IMG_9993

Who would know that a mirror could provide so much entertainment.
IMG_9976

Now we are back down under Felicity is really being to get the idea of Skype and FaceTime. Though it is causing great interest in my mobile phone.

IMG_1436

Story time has really become a part of the routine now and hopefully one day if Felicity is awake at the right time. We will get to stroy time at the library at 10.30am.
IMG_1422

Felicity would like to thank Great Granny Farrell for her new toy. Anne we brought a whale that has pieces of different colour material attached to it. you can move these around the whale so they are either coming out of its mouth or the hole at the top of his head.

IMG_1418

July has seen another March in March rally, though I don't think Felicity was very interested in what the speakers had to say.

Time to get use to the new hair chair

Watermelon is very tasty you know. She eat everything you can see in the photo, by the way.

IMG_0041

Most weekends since with arrived home we have been walking on a sunday. Here is Mark and Felicity enjoying a walk to a waterfall.

July has also seen me return to Pilates and Guides and Felicity's first swimming lesson with Mark.
I hope to have photos of this in the next blog.

The final few days

On the 25th June we returned to Bolton to visit the Great grandparents one more time and we even got to say hello to Phil.

IMG_0884

On Saturday though we were on the road again. Not before saying goodbye to Layburn.

IMG_1374

And calling in to see Pete and Kim in there new home. Though I am sorry to say I don't think Felicity was to thrilled by the lack of furniture and facilities :-). Hope all is going well guys.

IMG_1375

It was then on down to Stoke to see some university friends of Marks. We were invited for a BBQ but once the food had been eaten and another beer had been drunk (so no-one could get away) it appeared we were really invited to help rebuild a car. What fun!!

The following morning it was back up to Wales to drop the rental car off and say our last goodbyes to Granny, Granddad and Aunt Lucy.

After some lunch and a lovely walk along the front it was back on the road to Bolton. Where Gran and Gramps was on hand to baby sit whilst mum and dad packed the bags.

Well its the morning of the return journey and Felicity is ready to go and loving her new outfit from Gaz.
IMG_0892

On the flight whilst laying in her bassinet Felicity finally found her feet and spent hours playing with her new friend from the nice lady on the plane.

After just over 24hours of travelling Buster and us made it safely back to Adelaide where Georgia was waiting for us.

We just want to thank everyone that made our trip home so special. We hope to see you all again very soon.

Our holiday on Anglesey

Well after a week of travelling and two sunny weeks in the Lakes we headed to Anglesey to see the Morgan's and to spend some time on the beach. During our first week in Rhoscolyn Mark and I celebrated our 4th wedding university, with a meal at the lobster pot. A big thanks to Granny who baby sat.

I am not sure where to start here. It was so fantastic to spend some time with my whole family and see so many friends. The first week was spent mainly with Anna. The first sunday of our return home we had a big joint birthday party for my parents. Where for the first time in 2 years and the only time whilst we were at home. All 6 of us plus husbands, grandchild and finances were under the same roof for a few hours. I have to say this I am sure was my parents favourite part. I know it was mine.

Mark had a very busy two weeks working his socks off and catching up with friends. During the first weekend James Edwards came to visit and Mark and I took it in turns to have a night out. I went to the White Eagle with my sisters and Mark and James headed out to Bangor. I can say that my night out was filled with laughter and fun. I hope we can do it again some time Anna and Lucy.

The following week Felicity and I caught up with some cousins. It was fantastic to finally meet the international mothers group and the children. Felicity and I hope that Lucy, Emily and families are all well. Felicity and I were also thrilled to share a big birthday with her great great aunt Mary. It was so good to catch up with Gol and Janey and see Mary looking so well.

On Gran and Grandpas's last day in Rhoscolyn we all headed to the Oster catcher for lunch with Granny and and Aunty Lucy. Before Gran and Grandpas headed back to bolton and us onto to South Stack to search for film stars. They were filming a thriller at south stack and Aunty Lucy wanted to go and see if she could spot anyone. I have to admin Mark and I had no idea who there were. We just enjoyed the view. Before heading back to the White Eagle to welcome the birthday boy Danny and his gang to Rhoscolyn for the weekend.
