April 2014

This month seems to have flown by. We have been very busy, Felicity and I have been attending a number of Mother and Baby groups. One of which is run by the government for 6 weeks and then we are left to continue meeting up on our own. This week we are off for a walk in one of the local parks.

The other Mother and Baby group is made up of my work colleagues because there are 5 of us off on maternity leave together.

Felicity is the only girl within the Guide Dogs Mother and Baby group. Here is Felicity with two of these boys.

I and my friend Liz have been meeting up on a weekly basis for a walk and we have also been for lunch with Georgia on a number of occasions. Felicity loves these visits because she loves to watch the children playing. Felicity has also developed her own fan club with Ella and Juliet following her like a shadow. We have developed our own art gallery on the kitchen cupboard with all the items that the girls have given Felicity.

The end of the month saw us take a trip to the Flinders Rangers for Lynne and Michael's wedding. This was a great weekend and was a success with Felicity. She loved all the new people and appears to be a very social baby. It saw me having to breastfeed in some strange places. One being in the middle of a dry river bed (this was where Lynne and Michael were married). During this weekend we also introduced Felicity to her first four wheel drive experience.

April has seen a number of visits to our door. We enjoyed a visit from Aziz and Marie. We have also enjoyed a visit to Chris Decax where Felicity stole the show with the workman who were at Chris's putting in air-con when we visited and Georgia's birthday dinner.

This month we also had 4 days without Mark, who had a work trip to Perth. Felicity and I would like to thank everyone especial Kristen, who helped us during Marks trip away. We are very grateful.

Finally this month has seen us go on many many walks to help me reach my goal of walking 10km before our big trip. This is one step on my road of recovery since birth and to get back into shape. My next goal is to begin Pilates and to complete exercises at least 3 times a week, as well as walking at least 3 times a week.
